A Recently Received Letter

The Society recently received this letter from Jerome Gilmartin:

My wife Marie and I have two daughters whom we love dearly. Both, however, lost their Catholic Faith in college. Drawing on many reliable sources, The 7-Step Reason to be Catholic, 2nd Ed: Science, the Bible and History point to Catholicism (Imprimatur) is my effort to provide a sound rationale for their return, and the return of many others, to Catholicism. With the online features recently added Catholics now have, in effect, a 7-Step Evangelization App. With it, after bookmarking http://7step.catholic.org, even the most timid, poorly catechized Catholic – with just a few taps on his/her smart phone, iPad, laptop, etc., to access the wallet outline and “Why be Catholic, Dad?” MP3 file – can answer the call of our Holy Father to evangelize. The app is backed by the book noted above, which has been endorsed by five EWTN luminaries and a biology educator / administrator.

The book was written primarily for those who read at a college level. To reach a wider audience I did the following: (1) Included the 7-step wallet outline in the book in 12 languages – the primary languages of one-half of the world’s nearly 7 billion population. (2) With my daughter Joan I recorded “Why be Catholic, Dad?” as a 20-minute mini CD. (3) Added a free 7-step wallet outline card and the CD, both in English, to each book. (4). Posted the 7-step wallet outline in 12 languages and the “Why be Catholic, Dad?” MP3 audio file in English at http://7step.catholic.org where they can be downloaded free and used with or without the book.

I encourage DPS members to share this 7-step evangelization method with their friends on Facebook, MySpace, Twitter, etc. Together we can invite many to, or back to,  the one, holy, catholic and apostolic Church the risen Jesus personally founded and promised to be with always.

God bless!
