Peter Kreeft, Catholic author and philosophy professor at Boston College, gave a speech in Madison WI recently on that topic. The Wisconsin State Journal covers the speech in a brief article. He instructs his audience,
To be a Catholic is to take the whole deal . . . . Kreeft said several definitions of a liberal can and should fit Catholics, including “someone who is generous and unselfish” and “someone who highly values liberty and freedom.”
He offers strong words about Catholics who support abortion and about those theologians who advised President Kennedy and his family on how to be Catholic and support abortion. A very interesting speech given by an eminent Catholic scholar.

A WONDERFUL REINFORCEMENT FOR TODAY’S EVANGELIZERS. THANK YOU!
I agree Judith. There are parts of the ideologies of both major political parties in this country that are definitely anti-Catholic. That’s why I will remain an independent and vote for the candidate, not the party.
